This week's lesson focused on artist: Andy Goldsworthy and his environmental creations using natural forms which he then documents with a camera image. Andy explores the concepts of beauty and art and decline and decay as natural life cycles. Here are some student works submitted this week. They are well done and very beautiful.
Such beautifully laid out heart designs by third grade Sunrise artists. The children handled their flower petals and rocks with such care and thoughtfully laid out sentiments. (expressions)
This third grade Sunrise artist created a beautiful nest of collected natural forms. I personally like how the sunlight patterns of light enliven this photograph. Excellent work artists!
This young artist created a fun found object sculpture with everyday plastic cutlery! He made creative connections and a sense of balance. He calls it "The Switcher"!
