MONOCHROMATIC
PAINTED PATTERN PAPERS!
Say that three times very fast! We began our lesson saying our project title as a tongue twister! Highland Artists had fun reviewing COLOR THEORY: HUE, VALUE, TINTS AND SHADES and applied the design principle of PATTERN to their painted papers. The simplest definition for pattern? It is the repeating of an art element in design! Most students learned a new word:MONOCHROMATIC color scheme.
Mono means one; Chroma means color. The students painted patterned paper by using one chroma or color with its tints and shades for their monocrhomatic painted pattern papers!
